Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder had a courtesy call with the Undergraduate Team of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department of BUET, which secured the champion position at the Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) Design Competition organized at United International University, Dhaka.

On the afternoon of 31st October 2022 Monday at the office of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BUET the mentor of the champion team Dr. ABM Harun-ur-Rashid, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Prof. Dr. Quazi Deen Mohd Khosru, Dean, Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Dr. Abdus Salam Akanda, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Director of Advisory, Extension and Research (DAERS) were present on the occasion.

A total of 26 teams from 9 public and private universities in the country participated in the competition. Only 15 teams were selected for the final round. A cheque of BDT 2,00,000 (two lac) and a trophy were awarded to the BUET team that won first place in the competition. Level 4 students Saleh Ahmed Khan, Saimur Rahman Arnab and Kaniz Fatema Supti were in the champion team of BUET. On this occasion, the champion team was congratulated by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder.
