Dhaka, Bangladesh – The 13th edition of the International Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (ICECE 2024), one of the pioneering and most prestigious conferences in the field of electrical and computer engineering, is being held at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) from December 18 to 20, 2024.

This globally recognized event has brought together a distinguished assembly of researchers, academics, and industry experts from around the world. Researchers from 24 institutions spanning nine countries—including India, Norway, the Netherlands, UAE, Japan, Sri Lanka, USA, China, and Italy—are presenting their groundbreaking work. Additionally, four Fellows of IEEE from the USA, Canada, and India are delivering keynote speeches, offering deep insights into contemporary advancements in electrical and computer engineering.

Out of a total of 438 submitted papers, the technical committee meticulously reviewed and selected 150 papers for presentation, ensuring the highest standards of academic rigor. These papers encompass cutting-edge research across various domains of electrical and computer engineering, showcasing innovation and excellence.

The inauguration ceremony, held at the Council Building of BUET, was graced by esteemed dignitaries. Prof. Dr. ABM Badruzzaman, Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUET and Chief Patron of the conference, presided over the occasion. The event’s Chief Guest, Dr. Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Honorable Power and Energy Advisor to the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, highlighted the significance of the conference in advancing engineering education and research.

Other prominent guests included Prof. Dr. Abdul Hasib Chowdhury, Pro Vice-Chancellor of BUET, Prof. Dr. M. Moshiul Hoque, IEEE Bangladesh Section Chair, and Prof. Dr. ABM Harun-Ur-Rashid, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at BUET.

Prof. Dr. ABM Harun-Ur-Rashid serves as the Organizing Chair, and Prof. Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam leads as the Technical Chair of ICECE 2024. The conference is hosted by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at BUET, with the IEEE Bangladesh Section serving as its technical co-sponsor.
