Job Opportunity: Hardware Engineer

Applications are invited for a full-time, temporary appointment at the Department of EEE, BUET, under the project, “Design and Implementation of an Automated Gas Flow Meter Testing System for Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution PLC, Demra, Dhaka, Bangladesh.”

Position: Hardware Engineer (01).

Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)

Duration: 1 (one) year and probable extension based on project requirements and performance.

Required Skills & Experience:

1. Strong Python Proficiency Demonstrated experience in Python programming with good work experience in OCR camera and DAQ.
2. Sensor Interfacing & Embedded Systems Experience Prior hands-on experience with microcontrollers, robotic or automated systems, instrument interfacing & prototyping, and communication protocols (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI, Modbus, etc.).
3. Problem-Solving & Learning Ability Strong ability to independently learn new technologies and solve unfamiliar technical problems with minimal supervision.

Bonus Skills (Will be considered as a plus):

1. Python GUI Development Experience in designing and developing graphical user interfaces using Python.
2. PLC Programming Knowledge Good background in PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
   • Prior professional experience in relevant fields will be considered an advantage. Salary: Negotiable (commensurate with qualifications and experience).
