The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) proudly announces the successful inauguration of the newly established 4IR Advanced Research and Innovation Park, located on the 8th floor of the ECE Building. The ceremony, held on Sunday, 2 June 2024, was a significant milestone in BUET's commitment to pioneering advancements in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies. The event commenced at 7:00 PM in Room 625 of the ECE Building, with esteemed guests, including the Chief Guest, Prof. Satya Prasad Majumder, Honorable Vice Chancellor of BUET, and the Special Guest, Prof. Abdul Jabbar Khan, Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor of BUET, gracing the occasion. Dr. Md. Aynal Haque, Professor and Head of the department, delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for an evening celebrating innovation and research excellence. The ceremony included a comprehensive overview of the lab by Prof. Ariful Haque, followed by an inspiring discussion on the lab's future plans by Prof. Kamrul Hasan. In their addresses, both the Honorable Pro Vice Chancellor and the Honorable Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of the new facility in fostering cutting-edge research and innovation. They highlighted how the 4IR Advanced Research and Innovation Park would serve as a hub for collaborative research, driving technological advancements and contributing to the nation's development. The formal inauguration of the lab took place at 7:50 PM, with the Honorable Vice Chancellor leading the ceremonial opening. The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Harun-ur Rashid and a dinner at the Multipurpose Room on the 3rd floor of the ECE Building. This state-of-the-art research facility is poised to be a cornerstone for advancements in 4IR technologies, encompassing fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. BUET's dedication to research and innovation continues to place the institution at the forefront of technological development, both nationally and globally.
