An
alumnus of University Cambridge of UK, Md. Ziaur Rahman Khan is with the Dept.
of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BUET since 1999 and became a full
Professor there in 2012. Prof. Khan in his 10 years long post-PhD career,
besides teaching and research at home and abroad, has been successfully leading
and serving as consultant in numerous projects of Bangladesh Power Sector and
industries through Bureau of Research, Testing and Consultation (BRTC) of
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He is currently a
board member of the Sustainable & Renewable Energy Development Authority
(SREDA) under Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources (since 2017). He
was also the Director, Centre for Energy Studies (CES) in BUET from September
2014 to October 2018.
