Md. Forkan Uddin received his B.Sc.
and M.Sc. degrees both in Electrical and Electronic Engineering(EEE) from
Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology(BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh in
2003 and 2005, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer
Engineering from University of Waterloo, Canada in 2011. In2003, he joined as
Lecturer in the Department of EEE, BUET, Bangladesh, where he is currently a
Professor. His research interests include wireless communications and
networking, smart grid communications and load management, and optical fiber
communications. He received UGC Gold Medal 2017 in the category Engineering and
Technology from the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh.
