Farseem M. Mohammedy received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Dept of EEE, BUET. He recieved his Ph.D. degree from McMaster University, Canada. He joined the Dept of EEE in 2000. His research interests include microelectronic devices, optoelectronic devices and mid-IR sensors, devices with nano-structures, geenral energy issues, renewables, nuclear power plant safety issues. He is also a writer with about two dozen books that he wrote/co-wrote/edited. He received the Halima-Sharfuddin Award for science writing in 2001 from Bangla Academy.
