The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), BUET, is pleased to host the Alumni-Faculty-Student Dialogue on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 3:00 PM in Room No. EEE 634 (6th Floor), ECE Building, BUET.

This special event will bring together four of the department’s most accomplished alumni for an open dialogue with faculty members and students:

  • Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Hussain, Professor and Director, vFabLab and MIST, Purdue University
  • Dr. Sayeef Salahuddin, TSMC Distinguished Professor, UC Berkeley
  • Dr. Anisul Haque Khan, Vice President, Applied Materials
  • Dr. Sayeed Ahmed Badrudduza, Senior Principal Engineer and Director, NXP Semiconductors

The program will be graced by Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Badruzzaman, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BUET, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. Dr. Md. Shafiqul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of EEE, BUET, as the Guest of Honor. It will be chaired by Prof. Dr. A. B. M. Harun-Ur-Rashid, Professor and Head of the Department of EEE.

The Alumni-Faculty-Student Dialogue is designed to inspire and strengthen the BUET community by bridging past and present. Through their diverse experiences in academia, research, and industry at world-leading institutions and organizations, these distinguished alumni will share valuable insights on emerging technologies, global career pathways, and the evolving landscape of engineering education.

For students, it will be an opportunity to gain firsthand perspectives on how to navigate their academic and professional journeys. For faculty members, it offers a chance to explore avenues for collaboration, curriculum enrichment, and research impact in line with global trends.

This gathering promises to spark meaningful conversations, broaden horizons, and deepen the sense of pride and connection within the BUET EEE family.
